Retirement Ceremonies

Alan Pierce, Building Operations, will retire effective Wed., December 22 after 45 years with the Department. He will have a formal retirement today, December 3 from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. in the HQ Community Room. All are welcome to attend.

Jason Rusley, NPD, will retire effective Sat., December 25 after 26 years with the Department. He will have an informal retirement ceremony on Tues., December 14 beginning at 1 p.m. at North Patrol. All are invited to attend. He will also have an off-site retirement party on December 16.

Ray Staley, Internal Affairs, will retire effective Fri., December 24 after 30 years with the Department. He will have a formal retirement ceremony on Wed., December 15 in the HQ Community Room beginning at 1 p.m. All are invited to attend.

Brian Ruch, NPD, will retire effective Sat., December 25 after 25 years with the Department. He will have an informal retirement ceremony on Wed., December 15 at North Patrol beginning at 1 p.m. All are invited to attend.

Owen Farris, NPD, will retire effective Sun., December 26 after 28 years with the Department. He will have a formal retirement ceremony on Thurs., December 16 beginning at 1 p.m. at the Academy. All are invited to attend. He will also have an off-site retirement party on the same date.

Arthea Reno, Administrative Assistant, SPD, will retire effective Sun., December 26 after 22 years with the Department. She will have an informal retirement ceremony on Fri., December 17 beginning at 10 a.m. in the EPD Community Room. All are invited to attend.

Mary Binder, Criminal Records, will retire effective Sat., December 18 after 45 years with the Department. She will have a formal retirement on Fri., December 17 beginning at 11 a.m. in the HQ Community Room. All are invited to attend.

Charles Huth, Logistical Support, will retire effective Sat., December 18 after 29 years with the Department. He will have an informal retirement ceremony on Fri., December 17 beginning at 1 p.m. in the HQ Community Room. All are invited to attend.

Michael S. Throckmorton, Professional Training Section, will retire effective Mon., December 27 after 31 years with the Department. He will have a formal retirement ceremony beginning at 2 p.m. at the Academy on Fri., December 17. All are invited to attend. Everyone is also invited to stop by for his after party on December 17 at the Brass Rail, 4940 NE 81st St, Kansas City starting at 6 p.m.

John Trainor, MPD, will retire effective Sat., December 18 after 33 years with the Department. He will have an informal retirement ceremony on Fri., December 17 beginning at 1 p.m. at MPD. All are welcome to attend.

Kevin Growney, MPD, will retire effective Fri., December 17 after 27 years with the Department. He will have an informal retirement ceremony on Fri., December 17 beginning at 1 p.m. at MPD. All are invited to attend.
