Cost of Living Adjustment: At the recent September 12th Board meeting, the Retirement Board made the decision to approve a 2.5% (COLA) for retired members.

If there is one thing you can be certain of it's that life constantly changes. When these changes happen, it is important to update your KCPERS information to ensure the accuracy of your survivors and beneficiaries are in accordance with your wishes.

If you do not have an eligible surviving spouse, it is important to keep your beneficiary designation up to date. This ensures that any refund or benefit due gets paid out according to your wishes. To change your beneficiary designation, please complete a new active member Information form.

Contact KCPERS to discuss how divorce may affect your retirement benefits and to update your beneficiary.

Please provide KCPERS with a copy of your marriage certificate and update you member information form.

Are you celebrating the addition of a new child? Make sure to update your member information form to include your new family member.

KCPERS receives this information from your employer. Please update with your Human Resources Department.
