2024 Cost of Living Adjustment
At the recent September 12th Board meeting, the Retirement Board made the decision to approve a 2.5% ad hoc cost of living adjustment (COLA) for retired members of both the Police Plan and the Civilian Employees' Plan.

Medicare Open Enrollment with KCPD is Now through November 29
Medicare Open Enrollment with KCPD is November 11 – 29. There will be an Open Enrollment session at the Regional Police Academy Thursday, November 21st from 2-4pm. There will be a representative from Blue Cross Blue Shield offering information on Plan G, and a representative with United Health Care regarding the new Advantage Plan with UHC.
United Health Care is mailing their 2025 Plan Guide to all Medicare Eligible retirees. Be on the look-out if you are interested.
